French Onion Brisket Buns

Ingredients
1 small red onion, halved
1 pkg (500g) Longo’s Fully Cooked Beef Brisket
4 Longo’s Kaiser Buns
1 tub (227g) Longo’s 5 Cheese Dip
4 Longo’s Emmenthal Slices or Mild Cheddar Slices
Directions
- •Place onion on preheated medium-high grill for about 10 minutes, turning once, or until tender and grill marked. Let cool slightly, then slice. Reduce grill to medium heat.
- •Place brisket pouch in microwave-safe dish and cut a small slit in the top of the package. Heat in microwave on High for 5 minutes, then let stand for about 2 minutes. Carefully open pouch and empty contents onto serving dish. Remove meat from juices, then thinly slice.
- •Toss together brisket, sliced red onion, 1/4 cup of the brisket sauce and 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper.
- •Spread cheese dip on both sides of buns. Fill each with brisket and onion mixture. Top with a cheese slice. Place on grill, close lid and grill for about 5 minutes to toast buns and melt cheese. Serve with remaining brisket sauce, if desired.
