LOFT VIRTUAL CLASSES

The health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our highest priority. We have cancelled all in-store cooking classes and activities in the Loft until further notice. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely, and hope to welcome you back in the Loft soon. In the meantime, we invite you to try one of our live Loft Virtual classes, where you can cook along with and be guided by a chef from your home kitchen.

Registration is temporarily closed while we prepare for the relaunch of our website. We look forward to welcoming you back to our website on September 7th to book your next class.

Registration and Groceries
We invite you to try one of our live Loft Virtual classes, where you can cook along with and be guided by a chef from your home kitchen. For class menus and details, please visit the Loft page to choose your class. Once you book your class, your order confirmation email will include shopping and equipment lists, as well as preparation notes for the class. You will need to have your groceries purchased and everything to go by the time the class starts, so that you can cook along with the chef and the other participants. We suggest registering at least 24 hours in advance to give yourself enough time to do your shopping for the ingredients, or 48 hours in advance if you plan on ordering from Grocery Gateway for delivery.
Preparation Prior to Class
At least a day before the class, you will receive the Zoom link to connect you and other participants to the online class. You will also receive the recipes, preparation notes and any last-minute reminders to ensure the class runs smoothly. Preparation will be minor. We’ll tell you what, if anything, to wash, chop and measure out prior to the class. We always recommend that you set out all of your ingredients and equipment grouped together by recipe by start time. Depending on the recipe, we may ask you to thaw something that is frozen, marinade your meat, or take something out of the fridge to soften. We will also provide you with contact information in case you need to reach out with any questions.
Virtual Classes for Kids – Parents Supervision Required
Our Virtual Classes for kids (recommended for ages 6 and above) involve cooking with kitchen equipment, appliances and tools. During class our menus may require that we melt, cook, bake or chop ingredients, so supervision and assistance will be required to prevent cuts, burns or other injuries. Depending on the child’s age and cooking abilities, the child may also need assistance following the recipes, measuring out ingredients, and following the instructions provided by the instructor. It is up to the parent/caregiver to determine what the child can or cannot do on their own, and how much supervision and assistance will be required. Safety procedures will be covered by the instructor at the beginning of each class and reminders will be provided as appropriate. It will be up to the parent/guardian booking the class or supervising the child to make any substitutions to the shopping list should the child have any allergies.
Note about the Class Fee
When booking a virtual class, the fee is for one device per household. You only need to book and pay for one guest; it’s up to you how many people from your household join you during the class. So, either on your own or with the help of others in your family, we look forward to cooking with you!
